As a self-published author, there are a million jobs to get done. You either have to wear a lot of hats or hire other people to help you. 

When I had my first book edited, it took me YEARS to make back what the expense of that cost. Add on the cover art for it, and you’re looking at a decade-long cost.

So, when I started publishing more of my books, I went about learning how to make my own covers. Not being artistically or technologically inclined, this felt like climbing  a mountain uphill in a snowstorm with a 200-pound bag on my back and ankle weights on!

I eventually was able to create covers that I was proud of, but they still weren’t ‘finished’ in my soul, they weren’t good enough, didn’t make my spirit feel happy or at ease.

That’s where my cover artist came in.

It’s no longer ‘just me’ here, even though it sometimes feels that way, with mountains still to climb! But hanging one of those hats up, giving it to someone else and trusting them with my work, means the expense of doing so.

Your support will help me carry on with building and caring for this dream of mine. If you love my books, helping me give them proper wings to fly with is a big deal!

Whether it’s new covers, new formats (like hardcovers), potentially (later) audiobooks or translations, your support will go straight to the books. I might someday be able to buy myself a coffee. I’m just not there yet. 😉
